One of my friends on FB offered his holiday list of products/foods he loves. I’d also like to add one item, Washington State University Cougar Cheese. https://creamery.wsu.edu/cougar-cheese/

So without further ado, here’s Sebastian’s list.

Sebo’s 1st Annual Foodie Christmas Gift Guide

Since I had a few people asking for recommendations, I figured it would be easier if I just make a post out of it.

The first thing I want to clarify is that I use and love these 5 products/food, I’m not receiving any compensation for any of those recommendations (not that I would not love to be an affiliate for those some days!!)

I tried to highlight small business on this small business Saturday.

In no particular order, here is my list.

Elevated Craft Cocktail Shaker

This was an Indiegogo project that was funded and if you enjoy mix drinks, it is the perfect replacement for your current old cocktail shaker.

Not only it is aesthetically beautiful, but it is also super easy to handle, does not have any ice sweat due to their double insulation, and the lid double as a measuring jigger.

They are still running a sale via Indiegogo at the link below, and you can grab one for $53.

Honolulu Fish Company

I just love this company, been ordering from them for close to 10 years now, I never once been disappointed. They get fresh off the boat Hawaiian fish to your door in 2-3 days.

If you sign up for their free Ahi Club, they send you emails when they have special deals, and that is the way to go, those deals are so good, often around $100 for a 3 lbs Hawaiian Ahi tuna piece. They also recently started doing a 3 or 6 months box subscription and if you love fresh fish those are worth a look.

Caramelo Tortillas

When I heard that some small Lawrence, Kansas company was making some of the best tortillas in America, I was pretty skeptical but I figured I had to see for myself. And all I can say is they are amazing, the best tortillas I ever bought.

They work great on tacos but they are flavorful so you can just eat them plain (yes I did! Lol), however, my favorite way is a simple cheese quesadilla with some Mexican cheese such as Oaxaca or Chihuahua

They have 3 flavors, duck fat, pork fat, or avocado oil, my favorite is the duck fat one. They are a very small business and they go so popular so fast, they are running about 5 weeks to fulfill orders right now, but it’s worth it.

CAMUS Caribbean Expedition Cognac (CAMUS Cognac)

Of course, I had to have one cognac on my list. So many great ones but as a fan of ‘unusual “cognac, this one fits the description to a T. This cognac had an interesting journey, after aging 4 years in France, 10 sealed drums were put on a sailboat on a journey to Barbados. Once there it aged one more year in a Rum cellar and back on the boat to France. It gives this cognac a very unique profile, very fruity with some saltiness, I really enjoyed it.

The bottle runs around $130 but it is getting harder and harder to get as they only made 4500 bottles so if you want to try it, I would try to buy one very soon!

Carne Collective

As a diehard carnivore I was super excited when I found out that after being illegal for so many years, the import of Argentinian meats was finally allowed in the USA.

They work with a box subscription system and have 3 different one from $129 to $250, and you can pick the delivery frequency (every 2, 4, or 8 weeks), you can also buy some “add-on” to your box. All meat comes frozen in an insulated box.

I got the Asado box and I must say I was more than impressed. The meat is so flavorful and amazingly tender, you can cut the filet with a fork (no exaggeration). If you have any meat lover on your Christmas list, this is the perfect gift!
